Pastor’s Thoughts: As I take in the date of this newsletter and couple it with the message of Peace we will be receiving this coming Sunday, the impact of the two events becomes intertwined. And the Sunday theme of forgiveness adds another dimension. We are a people of Peace. Our church seal announces it. But many questions run through my mind as I contemplate all of these interconnections.
Do we live Peace each day? Are we supporting those advocating for Peace? Are we forgiving hurts that will allow us to share Peace? Are we judging others for what they think or say and thereby compromise our sense of Peace?
The questions go on and on.
I will not judge where you are or how you are responding to events and circumstances around you.
I will invite you to be a part of the Peace we have claimed for us and those around us.
Join us Sunday as Andrea Johnson shares with the Cary and Kernersville congregations about the Nomads for Peace journey to the Peace Forum in Independence. We will be supporting them in their advocacy for Peace with a special offering during Sunday morning fellowship.
